William J. “Bill” Woodring of Division Street passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Bill was born on January 29, 1975, in Olean and was the son of Millard R. “Woody” and Karen D. Foley Woodring.

Bill was a 1995 graduate of Olean High School. He worked at McHone Industry in Salamanca as a welder for many years before he became disabled. Bill enjoyed playing golf, he was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.

Bill is survived by his mother, Karen D. Woodring of Olean; six siblings, Leeanne C. (Gray) Rogerson of NC, Tina L. Saurers of Virginia Beach, VA, Kevin J. Woodring of Ceres, NY, James “Jim” A. (Tammy) Woodring of Hamilton, OH, Christopher M. (Karen) Woodring of Olean and Shawn G. Woodring of Johnsonburg, PA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, his long time girlfriend of over 20 years, Gloria Shaffer of Olean and their pugs, Sheldon and Auggie.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Woody, on January 26, 2007, a cousin, Anthony Pessia on August 4, 2012, and beloved dog, Gracie Pug.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held. Pastor Jim Balson Jr. of Olean First Baptist Church will officiate.
