Limestone- Steven Lee Criss “Loving Father & Grandfather”

Steven L. Criss of North Main Street passed away on Sunday, February15, 2026.

Steven was born on May 11, 1979, in Gowanda and was the son of Monet L. and Mary Merchant Criss.

Steven attended Pine Valley High School. He worked various jobs, including driving bus for Cattaraugus and Wyoming County Head Start out of Olean and Salamanca for 8 years, a tow truck driver, and was currently working for Lake Erie Tobacco in Killbuck, NY. Steven enjoyed working on things, fixing things, helping other people and being active.

Steven has been a fireman all of his adult life. He was a member of Perrysburg, Versailles, North Collins, Silver Creek, Leon, and currently a member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department as part of the fire police and enjoyed helping with events.

Steven is survived by his five children; Vivian C. Foster-Criss of Cheektowaga, Makayla L. (Christian Kinnaird) Criss of Limestone, Jacob M. Criss of Ft. Campbell, KT., Riley Rae Abrams of Limestone, and Cydney J.W. Abrams of Limestone; two step children, Angel Stromecki and Gavin Abrams; and grandson, Roman Kinnaird.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department at 6:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department at 5886 Church St, Limestone, NY 14753.
