Bolivar– Ruth E. Edwards “Loving Mother & Wife”

Ruth E. Edwards formerly of Bolivar, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Wellsville Manor.

Ruth was born March 24, 1931 in West Clarksville and was the daughter of Sidney and Mildred R. Childs LaFever. On April 5, 1952 at the EUB Church in Obi she married the love of her life, Lyle P. Edwards who predeceased her on February 4, 2022.

Ruth was a founding member of the Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee in 1970. She and her husband served as a missionary in the Philippines for 17 months and made a short-term mission trip to Venezuela. Ruth was a Prayer Warrior and loved the Lord. She volunteered at Jones Memorial Hospital.

Ruth is survived by; a son, Steven (Wanda) Edwards of Bolivar; 2 daughters, Linda (Larry) St. Lawrence of Great Falls, MT, and Kathleen (Daniel) Simpson of Rapid City, SD; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a sister in law, Sandra LaFever of Obi, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her loving husband, Lyle, Ruth was predeceased by; her parents, and 3 siblings, Nancy Wagner, Richard (Betty) LaFever and S. Michael LaFever.
