Roy A. Frank – Former Hinsdale Resident

Hortense GA – Roy A. Frank 73 of Hortense passed away Wednesday Sept. 20, 2023 at Memorial Health in Waycross following a lengthy battle with Pancreatic cancer.

              Roy was born Nov. 29, 1949, in Olean, NY he was the son of Clarence and Alberta Bartlett, Frank. He was marred to Wanda Jean Fisher Frank who predeceased him on January 24, 2004.

              Roy was a graduate of Olean High School and BOCES in Olean.

Roy spent most of his life as a mechanic, working on small engines, heavy equipment, and trucks.  He worked for a truck parts and salvage yard in Brunswick GA for many years where he was well known for his knowledge of fixing trucks. Roy was also a member of the Hinsdale Fire Dept., Hinsdale, NY.

Surviving Roy is his son Troy A. Frank and daughter-in-law Emily Wolfe and two stepdaughters Michelle Fisher Warner, Elizabeth Knier Johnson one stepson Roy Knier and two brothers Earl and Gary Frank.

              He was predeceased by two stepsons Robert and Keth Knier.

A visitation will be held Tuesday September 26 from 5-7 PM, with a service Wednesday, September 27, at 10:00 AM at Chapman Funeral Chapel 5951 Golden Isles Parkway
Brunswick, GA 31525. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Brunswick next to his wife Jean.
