Allegany - Robert L. Weatherley "Loving Father & Grandfather"
Robert L. "Ol' Man" Weatherley 90, 4500 South Cooper Hill Road, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at the home surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on December 3, 1928 in Olean and was a son of Leslie and Nina Wilber Weatherley. On September 22, 1951, he married his wife of 52 years, Eunice C. Lemon, who passed away on February 28, 2004.
Bob attended Olean High School. He began working for Zuckerman & Meyers and then he worked for Stuckey Construction for 25 years until his retirement. After his retirement, Bob and his 2 sons Mike and Mark owned and operated Weatherley's Repair Shop on Cooper Hill Road for about 10 years until 2002. He was a former member of the Humphrey Fire Department and the St. Stephen's Club. Bob enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, playing cards, and doing crafts.
Bob is survived by; 2 sons, William "Bub" (Susan) Weatherley and Glenn Weatherley both of Allegany; 2 daughter-in-laws, Eleanor and Edith Weatherley both of Allegany; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Paul (Joyce) Weatherley of Hinsdale and Karl Weatherley of Cuba; 2 sisters, Geraldine Blade of Olean and Dorothy Guerin of Hammondsport, PA; a special friend Mario; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his loving wife, Bob was predeceased by; 3 sons, Michael Weatherley in 2001, Mark Weatherley in 2002, and Robert Weatherley in 1960; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Weatherley; 4 brothers, Raymond, Daniel, Lavern, & Gerald Weatherley; and 3 sisters, Martha Weatherley, Pearl Brown, and Virginia Weatherley.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State Street, Olean today, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. Burial will be in the Five Mile Cemetery in Allegany.
