Paula Tuttle Noltensmeyer of San Antonio, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Brooks Army Medical Center.

Paula was born in Olean on July 21, 1935, and was the daughter of Paul and Josephine Tuttle.

Paula was a graduate of Olean High School and after raising her four sons she returned to college and attained a Master’s degree and PhD in Education.

Paula lived her life to the fullest, loving her family, friends, and pets. She deeply cared for others with her kindness and compassion. She loved her home, swimming pool, kayaking, traveling, and rescuing dogs, cats, and other animals.

Paula leaves behind her four sons, Dr. George (Birdie) Valenta, Dr. Doug (Laila) Valenta, Kevin (Katrina) Valenta, Matt (Tricia) Valenta, her granddaughter Johanna (Ryan) Kennington, great granddaughter Emma Lyn, grandsons: Cameron, Marshall, and Evan Nolan, Matson and Aidan Valenta, her sister, Danae Fratarcangelo, Valorie (Jim) Barzak, a brother John (Vickie) Tuttle, 11 nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by Susan and Ben, her dear friend Suzanne, and all of her family.

Paula was predeceased by her loving husband Wilbur Noltensmeyer, her parents, sister Darlene, and the father of her four sons, George Valenta.

Upon her request there will be no services and any donations in her name may be to an animal rescue or Humane Society of your choice.
