Olean- Pasquale “Pat” J. Piccirillo
With heavy hearts, Pasquale J. Piccirillo’s family announces his passing on Friday, December 5, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of family at home as he completed his earthly journey and was reunited with loved ones in Heaven.
Pasquale was born on October 7, 1937, in Olean, NY to John and Mary (Battista) Piccirillo.
Pat attended Olean High School. At age 70, he earned his High School Equivalency Diploma and received a certificate for an essay about his father.
On October 1959, in Olean, NY he married Joanne Nasuta. They had four children: Annette, Teresa, Michael, and Lisa. On June 19, 1999, in Olean, NY he married Millie Brown Conkey. He gained two more children Kathi and George.
Pat was employed as a semi driver at Stroehmann’s for 25 years and as a security guard at Cutco Corporation for 9 years.
In 1958, Pat and his friends, Otts Antonelli and Wayne Lips started a band. A connection with a Buffalo disc jockey helped them secure a contract with Atco, which is a subsidiary of Atlantic Records. Their debut single featured “Jupiter C” and “Oh Darling”. Then in 1959, “Jupiter C” climbed to number 81 on Billboard Magazine’s Hot 100 List—a remarkable achievement for the young group. Following their chart success, Pat and the Satellites continued to tour and perform until 1963. Pat was well known for his smooth vocals and rhythm guitar playing. Throughout the years he always had his guitar ready to play and fill in wherever he was needed.
In 1997 when he started dating Millie Conkey. She invited him to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church where his life changed forever. Pat became an active member of the congregation. He served on the Vestry, helping to guide the church’s decisions and direction. Pat also served as the Verger assisting in the marshaling of processions. As the Church Sexton, he managed buildings and grounds. Additionally, he regularly participated in the church’s weekly Bible study group, deepening his faith and building strong connections with fellow parishioners.
Pat was an avid hunter and fisherman and a fisher of men (actively participating in God’s mission to bring people into His kingdom by sharing the hope and truth of Jesus). He enjoyed time with his family, fellowship, and his coffee club buddies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Millie Piccirillo, children Annette (Gary) Rintelmann, Teresa Piccirillo, Michael (Lynn) Piccirillo and Lisa (Kevin Deibler) Piccirillo-Snyder, Brother, John Piccirillo, six grandchildren: Amanda, Meghan, Matthew, Brittany, Bethany, and Myrissa, 8 great grandchildren: Rain, Rylie, Lucille, Mercy, Madeleine, Magnolia, Eleanor, Arlo, and Brayden, many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, two stepchildren, George Conkey on June 22, 2023, and Kathi Kallenbach on March 28, 2021, two brothers, Joseph and Edward Piccirillo and a sister, Philomena Dibble.
Friends and family will be received at Letro-McIntosh Spink Funeral Home, 646 East State Street, Olean, for visitation on Thursday, December 11th from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm. Friends will also be received on Friday, December 12th from 10:00 to 11:00am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 109 South Barry, with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00am.
