Olean- Pamela J. Zeigler “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister”

Pamela J. Zeigler of 802 South Union Street, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Buffalo General Hospital

Pam was born on December 4, 1952 in Olean and was the daughter of Franklin and Mildred St. Clair Grimes.

Pam was an avid reader and book lover from the beginning and started her career at the Allegany Public Library in high school.  Her impeccable work ethic paved the way for her transition to the Olean Public Library after graduation, where she worked for 46 years until her retirement in 2017. Even during her retirement, She enjoyed volunteering weekly at the Allegany Public Library. She was very dedicated and passionate about the benefits of libraries and the importance of them to the community.

Pam was an amazing crafter, excelling at many things over the years, including quilting, tatting, embroidery and crochet.  She loved her family, she especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's concerts and musicals. Pam enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren watching them play video games or crafting with them.  She had been excited for the arrival of her youngest grandchild.  Pam was also an animal lover and had many pets over the years including her beloved Labrador, Marley, who she leaves behind.

Pam is survived by; 2 daughters, Tiffanie A. (Timothy) Ensell of Allegany and Cortney B. (Jonathan) Ugalde of Richmond, VA; 4 grandchildren, Casey Ensell, Nicholas Ensell, Emily Ensell and Avery Ugalde; 2 brothers, Franklin Grimes Jr. of Knapp Creek and Herald (Carol) Grimes of Hartford, CT.

Pam was predeceased by; her parents; 2 sisters, Dewaina Grimes and Rachel Sanchez.

Frriends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:00pm at the McKean Memorial Park, the Rev. Gerald C.
