Allegany- Nicky Martino Ertell “Better Days Ahead”
Nicky M. Ertell of 4115 S. 9 Mile Road, passed away on September 29, 2023 at the Olean General Hospital following an illness.
Nick was born September 5, 1969 in Olean and was the son of Paul M. and Peggy J. Hollister Ertell. He is survived by the mothers of his children Sandra Mitchell and Danielle Rivera.
Nick was known for being so kindhearted, a giver and loving unconditionally, especially his children. He enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the sun rise, watching Christmas Hallmark movies, reading, listening and playing music, singing and dancing, being outdoors, hiking, going on walks, being goofy and playing pranks, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Nick will be remembered for always saying “ better days ahead” with a smile on his face no matter what was happening.
Nick is survived by; 5 children, Christina (Travis) Ertell, Steven (Alicia) Ertell, Codi (Kelly) Ertell, Kaysha (Austin) Nobles (Ertell), and Kameron Ertell; 14 grandchildren, Hudson, Tanner, Remington, Jameson, Dustin, Dayiana, Mercedes (Robert), Izick, Stevie, Logan, Lydia, Marcellus, Jacob and Dawson (Saige); a great grandson, Draven; 3 siblings, Joe (Donna) Donovan Jr., Pete (Tammy) Donovan, and Melody (Troy Morton) Parmenter; and several nieces and nephews.
Nick was predeceased by; his parents, Peggy and Paul; a brother, Paul Ertell; and his grandson, Camron.
A Memorial Gathering and Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
