Bolivar – Mary Lee Gleason “loving Mother & Grand Mother” MaryLee Gleason of 8877 County Rt 5, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Olean General Hospital following an illness. MaryLee was born on September 26, 1942, in Cuba and was the daughter of Darrol F. and Ethel A. Childs Wilkins. On December 31, 1974, she married her husband of 45 years Jerry R. Gleason who predeceased her Feb. 23, 2021. MaryLee graduated from Richburg Central School. MaryLee was a very practical, loving & caring person, who raising her children and care for many other children as if they were her own. She poured her life into the people she loved. Her family was her one an only. MaryLee will be remembered as a lady who loved to have fun and make other people laugh. She was a member of the Obi Community Church, loved to read scripture for her love for the word of God and listen to Christian music. Mary is survived by; 4 children, Lee (Cindy) Yates of Cuba, Alan (Lara) Yates of (Olean), Leah (Garth) Witherell of Portville, Tammy (Joe) Blauvelt of Cuba; 3 Step-children, Darla (Barry) Rockefeller, Barb (Don) Rockefeller and David (Jamie) Gleason and there families, 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Jerry, Mary was predeceased by; a son Terrance Lee Yates and 2 brothers Donald and Steven Wilkins. Friends will be received in the Obi Community Church on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at which time Funeral & Committal services will be held. Burial will be in the West Genesee Cemetery, Obi. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
