Mary L. Alvord

Ischua – Mary L. Alvord "Loving Mother" Mary L. Alvord of 5706 School Street passed away on March 26, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital following an illness. Mary was born on December 31, 1955 and was a daughter of Edward and Patricia Robbins George. She married Dennis Alvord, who predeceased her on March 12, 2008. Mary graduated from high school and then attended Nursing School, until she was involved in a car accident that left her disabled. She was formerly a member of the Ischua Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Mary was currently involved with Total Senior Care. She enjoyed going camping, listening to music, her dog "Thor", and playing cards. Mary is survived by a daughter, Karleen E. Alvord of Ischua and a close friend whom she raised, Ashley B. (Jonas) Perry of Cuba and her family. Along with her loving husband, Mary was predeceased by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Ischua Volunteer Fire Department, 5634 Route 16, Hinsdale. All those who cared for Mary are invited to attend.
