Cuba- Mark David Middaugh “Loving Son, Father & Grandfather”

Mark D. Middaugh of the Cuba Nursing Home passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.

Mark was born on April 15, 1958, in Cuba and was the son of Frederick J. and Helen L. Benham Middaugh. He was formerly married to Wanda F. Bise.

Mark was a 1977 graduate of Belmont High School. He worked in construction and as a heavy equipment operator. First, he worked for Al Blades & Sons Blacktopping, then he worked for the NYS Conservation Department for a couple of years. Mark then went to work for the NYS DOT out of Friendship, where he worked for most of his career until his retirement in 2013.

Mark enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a volunteer fireman for the Belmont Fire Department, on the Southwestern Fireman Committee, the Amity Rescue Squad, and a member of the Belmont Conservation Club. Mark also attended the Cuba United Methodist Church.

Mark is survived by his mother, Helen L. Middaugh, two children; Tonya Lynn Middaugh of Friendship and Guy D. (Angela) Middaugh of Cuba, two grandchildren, Peyton and Jack, three siblings: Larry D. (Brenda) Middaugh of Belfast, Russ (Nancy) Middaugh of FL., and Tina (Chris) Wiedemann of Rineyville, KT.. several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Frederick and two infant sons, Kevin and Keith Middaugh.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00pm at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Becky L. Worth, Pastor of the Cuba United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Belmont. Online condolences may be made at www.LetroMcIntoshSpinkFuneralHome.com.
