Portville- Lynnette Diane (Pierce) Pope “Loving Wife, Mother, Sister & Aunt”
Lynnette Diane Pope, 63, passed away on June 12, 2025 at her
home after a brave and peaceful passing related to an unexpected battle with cancer surrounded by her close family, while under the care of her husband, son, little brother and niece.
Lynnette was the eldest child born to loving parents, Gerald C. and Mary I. Pierce. She graduated from Portville Central School in 1980. After graduation Lynnette entered the workforce where she worked for Olean American Tile later known as Dal Tile. Later retiring from Dal Tile after upwards of 30 years and upon retirement began working at the Olean Wal-Mart.
On September 14, 1991 Lynnette married her soul mate and partner in crime, Wade John Pope of Shinglehouse, PA, and one son was born from their union, Zachary Ian Pope.
During their 34 year long adventure of love they enjoyed quiet walk's in the woods, camping, picnics, photography as well as watching movies together, craft shows and making her own art's and crafts and yard sale shopping
Lynnette was predeceased by; her parents and a nephew Brandon M. Pierce.
Lynnette is survived by her loving husband Wade John Pope, her son Zachary Ian Pope; three brothers, Jerry (Cindi) Pierce of Hudson FL, Keith (an his wife) of Portville, Shane (William West ) Pierce of Atlanta GA; a niece and nephew who were adopted by Lynnette’s parents, Kirstea Rae &Trevor Stilson of Bolivar.
Other surviving family of note include nine nieces and nephews, three surviving uncles, and one aunt, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
