Olean- Karie Lynn Van Deusen
Karie L. Van Deusen of 116 South 12th Street went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
Born February 16, 1977, she was the daughter of David and Nancy Van Deusen who survive.
Karie was a 1995 graduate of Olean High School. She received her bachelor and master’s degree in childhood education and devoted her life teaching at a couple of local schools. She was loved by all her students and coworkers. She always went above and beyond to advocate for them.
Karie was a member of the Nickel City Nomads M.C, a very active member of the Olean Moose Lodge, and the Fraternal Dart League that she helped run for many years. She previously ran the Little League Football Program known as the Olean South Knights.
Karie is survived by her parents, her daughter, Corie A. Van Deusen; significant other, Steven Myszka; one brother, Keith J. (Lauren) Van Deusen and their three children, Cooper and twins Livy and Whitney Van Deusen
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:00 at which time a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Kim Rossi will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
