Olean – Jeffery L. Irvin "Loving Companion & Brother"
Jeffery L. Irvin of 3088 Route 16 North, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Jeff was born on December 25, 1945 in Bradford, PA and was a son of Alice June Kramer. He shared 23 years with his loving companion, Josephine V. Reed, who survives, and her family, Penny Hancock of Florida, Norman (Sherry) Reed, Jr., Todd Reed, and Sandra (Lee) Bailey all of Olean.
Jeff served in the US Navy from March 8, 1966 to February 9, 1972. He lived in many places throughout the country and overseas. Jeff worked as a certified public accountant for a number of places before his retirement. Following his retirement, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for about 10 years. Jeff was a life-time member of the Hinsdale American Legion. He enjoyed looking up ancestry, but he truly loved working outside in the flower garden.
Along with his loving companion, Jo, Jeff is survived by; 4 children, Jeff Irvin, Jr., Debbie Irvin, Dean Irvin, and Travis Irvin; and 4 siblings, Patricia Crawford and Elizabeth Irvin both of Olean, Robert (Tammy) Irvin of Gibsonville, NC, and Julie Irvin of Sinclairville.
Jeff was predeceased by, his parents and 2 brothers, John and Joseph Irvin.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 East State Street, Olean, on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Dr. Derek J. Cheek, Pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Olean.
