Allegany- Jeannette R. Paynter “Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother”

Jeanette R. Paynter of North 5th Street, formerly Olean Portville Road, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Jeanette was born on June 27, 1953, in Olean and was the daughter of Peter J. and Patricia V. Delia Quattrone Sr. on October 17, 1981, at St. Mary’s she married Thomas E. Paynter, who survives.

Jeannette was a 1971 graduate of Olean Highschool and continued her education at Olean Business Institute. She worked for Conap as a fabricator for over 28 years, from 1973 until 2000. She then began working at Community Bank in the loan office on Barry Street for the next 10 years until she went to work for TOPS in the produce department until her retirement in 2018.

Jeannette enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife, playing on her tablet, watching crime shows, and doing word searches. Her family was most important to her and she loved to spend time with them. Jeannette was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean.

Beside her loving husband Thomas, Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, Theresa R. (Frank) VanSickle of Allegany and Patricia R. (Bryan Gunsell) Paynter of North Tonawanda, three grandchildren, Kole M. (Adam) Parthemore of Portville, Frankie R. (Aspen Burton) VanSickle of Olean, and Ramona Z. Burns of North Tonawanda, three siblings, Cindy (David) Yehl of Parker, CO., Christine Rau of Olean, and Shelley (Dean) Strobel of Bath, many nieces, nephews, and her dog, Grace.

Jeannette was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Peter Quattrone and a sister, Diane Collins.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean, on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00pm at which time a funeral service will be held.
