Portville- Janice J. Zenner “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister”

Janice J. Zenner of 296 Prosser Road, Lot 10, sadly passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Olean General Hospital following a very brief illness.

Janice was born on August 18, 1942 in Olean and was the daughter of Irvon L. and Helen L. Dieteman Corwin.  On June 13, 1959 in Olean she married Delvin Phelps Sr. who predeceased her.  On July 23, 1977 she then married Gail “Bud” Zenner.

Janice worked many jobs throughout her life specializing in residential cleaning.

Janice enjoyed bingo, playing Yahtzee and scratch off tickets but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Janice is survived by; her daughter, Nancy (Lawrence) Commons Jr. of Portville; her son, David (Deanna) Zenner of Shinglehouse, PA; 5 grandchildren, Lawrence (Kay) Commons III of Olean, Thomas (Ashlee Theodore) Phelps, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL, Kimberly (Kevin) Dougherty Commons of Rochester, Jared (Anna Mascioni) Zenner of Ceres and Ciera Zenner of Shinglehouse, PA; several great grandchildren; a brother, Irvon “ Bud” (Gerri) Corwin of Chandler, AZ; a sister in-law, Paulee Corwin of Lady Lake, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janice was predeceased by; 2 sons, Delvin Phelps Jr. and Thomas Phelps Sr.; 2 brothers, Paul Corwin and Robert Corwin Sr.; a nephew, Robert Corwin Jr. and most recently a sister in-law, Anita Corwin.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at which time a memorial service will be held.  The Rev.
