Jamie A. Young of East State Street, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at his home.

Jamie was born July 21, 1963 in Buffalo and was the son of Gary Kenneth and Patricia Ann Peterson Young.

Jamie was a 1980 graduate of Olean High School. He was a truck driver for a short time. Jamie then moved to Vegas where he did maintenance and home remodeling. He moved back to Olean in 2007 where he continued doing maintenance and worked at Big Lots.

Jamie was an avid Raiders and Rams Fan, and an avid reader he loved Stephen King books he was also a Metallica Fan.

Along with his loving wife, Shelley M. Friskey, Jamie is survived by; 2 daughters, Tegan L. (David) Reichuber of Lakewood, CO and Taylor G. (Calvin) Mickelson of Loveland, CO; 2 grandsons, Theodore and Aiden Reichuber; his mother, Patricia A. Young of Olean; a sister, Suzanne Young Swatt of Olean; and her niece, Sydnee Swatt of Olean
