Olean- George R. Foster, Jr. “Loving Husband, Father, Son, Uncle, Grandfather & Brother"
George R. Foster, Jr. of Front Street passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2023
George was born on November 26, 1969 in Olean and was the son of George R. and Susan I. Buchanan Foster Sr. On November 9, 1994, in Hinsdale he married his loving wife, Tina A. McCartney who survives.
George was a 1987 graduate of Olean High School. He worked for a number of local places including Park n Shop, YMCA, Tops, and SubCon until January 30, 2020 due to an illness. George enjoyed working on computers, technology and different applications. He liked playing jokes on people and making them laugh. George was a big fan of Star Trek and Burn Notice. He was fondly known as “Uncle G” by his nieces and nephews.
Beside his loving wife, Tina, George is survived by his mother, Susan I. Foster, two daughters: Chelsey L. (Kiel) Platt of Portville and Shenandoah J. Foster of Olean four grandchildren, Autumn, Aryia, Payton, and Elijas, five siblings: Donna (Chris) Cerny of Cleveland, OH., Joshua (Ashley) Foster of Limestone, Myra (Lee) Hubbard of Portville, Brittany (Sean) Ward and Caitlin (Lucas Sisler) Foster both of Bradford, and many nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his father, George R. Foster Sr. on November 29, 2009 and his infant sister, Amy Lynn Foster on November 24, 1970.
