Farmersville- Edwin Clair “Ed” Seelbinder “Loving Husband & Father”
Edwin C. Seelbinder of Bush Hill Road passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Buffalo General Hospital.
Ed was born June 12, 1950 in Cuba and was the son of Gaylord E. “Doc” and Patricia Haskins Seelbinder. On May 19, 1994 in Rochester, Minnesota he married Cynthia Lee Oliver who survives.
Ed was a 1967 graduate of Olean High School. He served in the US Army where he served in Korea and 82 Airborne and completed sniper school. Ed worked with his father and brother installing siding on homes and businesses in the Olean area for about 10 years. He then worked at Dresser for about 8 years. Ed and Cindy moved to MN in 1989 where he worked as a carpenter for the Carpenters Union 1382 for about 25 years until his retirement in 2008. Returning to Western NY in 2016.
Ed had a passion for being outdoors hunting, fishing, knowing everything about guns, and riding his motorcycle. His whole life revolved around his family, whom he loved and enjoyed being with.
Ed was predeceased by his 5-month-old son Garrett D. Seelbinder on August 5, 1992. Along with his loving wife, Cindy, Ed is survived by; a son, Keith (Angel) Seelbinder of Virginia Beach and their 2 sons, Cody and Cameron; 4 brothers, Daniel (Maryln) Seelbinder of Chatfield, MN, Tracey (JoAnne) Seelbinder of Peterson, MN, Steven Seelbinder of Oronoco, MN, Kim Steelbinder, St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister, Debbie (Mark) Peterson of Fredonia; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was also predeceased by; his parents; 2 brothers, Thomas Seelbinder in 1972 and William “Bill” Seelbinder in 2017; and a sister Glenda Armstrong in 2019.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 9:00am to 11:00am at which time a funeral service will be held. Rev. William “Bill” Beck Pastor of United Church of Friendship will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
