Eldred– Dianna Lynn Rought “Beloved Mother, Grandma & Great Grandmother”
Dianna Lynn Rought passed away peacefully at Buffalo General Hospital after a short, but fierce battle with cancer on January 18, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving behind a world brighter for her presence.
Born in rural Elmira, on March 10, 1957, Diana was a true testament to enduring love, unwavering strength, and boundless joy.
For decades, Dianna was the heart of the family, known for her infectious laughter and aroma of her famous peanut butter fudge that filed her kitchen, a place where stories were shared and comfort was always found. She taught us the beauty of patience through her gardening, the importance of resilience during hard times, and the power of a hug to heal any hurt. She wasn’t just a mother or a grandmother; she was a guardian, a confidante, and our greatest cheerleader.
Dianna’s spirit lives on in the wisdom she shared, the recipes passed down, and the profound love she cultivated in our hearts. Thought she has left us, her legacy of warmth, guidance, and unconditional love remains a guiding light for her children, Mary (Jason) Miller of Eldred, PA., Mark Tarr of Eldred, PA., Heather (Scott) Wilkins of Friendship, her grandchildren, Breanna (Jordan) Rivera of Allegany, Darren Ball of Eldred, PA., Noah Johnson of Eldred, PA., Tyler Wilkins of Friendship, Destiney Wilkins of Friendship, Sophia Wilkins of Friendship, and her great grandchildren, Layla, Raiden, and Amelia Rivera, all of Allegany, her three siblings, Laurie (Jim) Berry of Cuba, David (Lisa) Rought of FL., and William “Bill” Rought of WA.
She will be greatly missed, forever cherished, and always remembered as the extraordinary woman who showed us how to live with grace and without reservation.
A memorial service will be held at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Genesee Pkwy, Cuba on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00am. The Rev. Alan L. Yates will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.LetroMcIntoshSpinkFuneralHome.com.
