West Union- Diane Elaine Edlind 

Diane E. Edlind of Route 60 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born on December 15, 1941, in Cleburne, TX., and was the daughter of Jess Porter and Mary Bowen Martignoni. On March 17, 1964, at Hempstead Baptist Church she married John R. “Dick” Edlind Jr., who predeceased her on May 20, 2014.

Diane was a graduate of Luling High School in Luling, TX., And continued her education at Southwest Texas State University for a year. She moved to New York City and worked at Macy’s Department Store where she met her husband. Together, they moved to West Union in 1973 where they owned and operated the “Milkwell Surge” for about 15 years. She then began working at P&C Foods in Hornell for 20 years as a clerk trainer retiring in 2010, when the store closed. Diane was a homesteader, an avid gardener, a wonderful cook and baker; she was known for her pies and cakes. Most of all, her family was important to her. She was very active in her children’s school activities and sporting events. She thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother and being active in their lives.

Diane is survived by her children, James S. Edlind of Webster, Justin M. (Heather) Edlind of Marion, Christa A. (Paul Janak) Edlind of Hallettsville, and Heather E. (Heath) Resseguie of Marion, 5 Grandchildren, Benjamin, Rhiannon, Jack, Lily & Mara Edlind, and Mallory Resseguie, seven siblings, Jesse Cauliflower, Mary Huey, Mark, Joel, Adrian, Lance and Jason Martignoni, many nieces and nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her parents and her step father, Clarence Anthony ‘Tony” Martignoni, her loving husband Dick, a granddaughter, Leah Edlind in 2005, and two brothers, Roger Porter and Blu Martignoni.
