Allegany- Dean A. Lockwood

Dean A. Lockwood of Valley View Drive, formerly of Hungry Hollow Road in Great Valley, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Dean was born on March 19, 1945, in Salamanca, he was the son of William and Anna Bliss Lockwood. On March 30, 1963, in Salamanca, he married Joan M. Stanley, who survives.

Dean was a 1962 graduate of Salamanca High School. He was an entrepreneur and held various jobs and positions including owning and operating a hardware store in Little Valley.

Beside his loving wife Joan, Dean is survived by his three children, Thomas D. (Tina) Lockwood of North Collins, Craig S. (Kathryn) Lockwood of RI., and Karen S. (Bill) O’Dell of Allegany, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a brother, William “Bill” (Joan) Lockwood of Little Valley, a sister, Judy Nelson and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was predeceased by his parents, a son, Richard Lockwood, and a sister, Shirley Keller.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at which time a funeral service will follow.
