David O. Kautz

David O. Kautz, 59, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Olean NY, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. David was born in Olean, NY. After serving in the U.S. Army at West Point and Vietnam, he moved to Naples, Florida where he owned and operated "Poppin Popcorn" for over 17 years. Predeceased by his father, Walter O. Kautz, David is survived by his long-time friend, Stephen Clapp of Naples, FL; mother, Kay Kautz of Olean, NY; sisters Diane Kannel of Rochester, NY, Carol (Roy) Luna of Olean, NY, Susan (Andrew) Mark of Crofton, MD, Anna (Shawn) Potter of Rochester, NY; nieces and nephews Donna, Cora, Joseph, Douglas and Emily. Family will receive friends at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, 646 E. State Street Olean, Saturday October 4, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at which time a Funeral Service celebrating David's life will be held. Sr. Joan Sobala SFJ will celebrate. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
