Duke Center- Charlotte Kay Galloway “Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother”

Charlotte K. Galloway, 84, of Duke Center, passed away on October 30, 2026, at Olean General Hospital.

Charlotte was born on January 13, 1942, in Eldred and was the daughter of Walter D. and Virginia C. Kemp Johnston. On August 29, 1959, she married her loving husband of 67 years, James Galloway Sr., who survives.

Charlotte was a 1960 graduate from Otto Township School. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening flowers, and making her house a home. Charlotte was a member of the Eldred Borough Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for over 20 years. Most of all, Charlotte loved raising her family, especially her grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, James, four children James L. (Danice) Galloway of Olean, Jeanie Lee (Michael) Farner of Louisville, KT., Jill Lynn (John) Gulnac of Bradford, Jan Louise Burt of Smethport; a sister, Bonnie Schwab of Duke Center, a half-brother, Micheal (Terri) Ogilvie of Duke Center, six grandchildren; Christopher, Ryan, Anthony, Gregory, Brandon, Dane, and four great grandchildren; Zoe, Ryan Jr., Raya, and Tucker.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, a son, Jeffrey D. Galloway in 2006, and her four siblings; Jackie Gigliotti, Gary Johnston, Connie Armstrong, and Larry Johnston.
