Charles H. McGregor of 19th Street passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Olean General Hospital.

Charlie was born on May 14, 1942, in Pittsburgh and was the son of Charles T. and Ida B. Cubbison McGregor. On December 31, 1980, he married his wife Virginia R. Barr who survives.

Charlie served in the US Army and was proud of his service, and proud of other servicemen. He worked for Fisher Price for over 30 years. Upon his retirement in 2007 he and Ginny moved to the Olean area. While retired he enjoyed working on computers & electronics. He also enjoyed visiting local thrift stores and finding treasures. He always made a special effort to engage with fellow veterans that he encountered in his travels.

Beside his loving wife Ginny, Charlie is survived by his four step sons, Andrew W. (Kathleen) Hasselberg of Olean, Scott E Hasselberg of Wales Center, David A. Hasselberg of Marilla, and Eric J. (Michelle) Hasselberg of Wales Center, many grandchildren, a great granddaughter, two nieces, and a nephew.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one stepbrother.

A Celebration of Life will be privately held by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
