Carl A. Blauvelt of 307 E. Connell Street, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his home.

Carl was born February 26, 1969 in Olean and was the son of Harry and Bonnie Jean Peterson Blauvelt.

Carl was a 1987 graduate of Desoto County High School in Arcadia, Florida. He worked as a mechanic at a number of places in the Olean Area including, Donavan’s Easter Supply, Walmart, Shults Sales and Leasing and Mastel Ford before becoming disabled.

Carl enjoyed making/brewing mead, hanging out with his family and close friends around a bonfire.

Carl is survived by; his long-time loving companion of 21 years, Darcia F. Gilbert of Olean; 2 children, Christopher D. (Carol) Gilbert of Bradford, PA and Rikki S.F. (Ben) Dudek of Florida; a granddaughter, Serenty Gilbert; and 2 siblings, Joseph (Tammy) Blauvelt of Cuba and Tracy Blauvelt of Little Valley.

Carl was predeceased by his parents.
