Franklin M. Miller of 9 Colwell St., formerly of the Five Mile in Allegany and Linwood Dr. in Cuba, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at his home, following a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on Sept. 9, 1933 in Ceres PA and he was a son of Frank T. and Rose S. Ahles Miller. On Sept. 5, 1964 in Fla. he married his loving wife of 36 years, Rose A. Foster, who passed away on April 10, 2000. He then married Marion M. McWilliams, who passed away in May of 2011.
Frank worked as a logger for many years. He then worked as a ship builder while living in New Jersey. Upon returning to the Olean Area he worked as a mechanic for Eastern Supply until his retirement in the late 1990's. Frank was an outdoors man who in his younger years enjoyed riding motor cycle. He also enjoyed walking, cutting wood, hunting & fishing.
Frank is survived by two children, Joseph W. (Amy) Miller of Portville and Vietta R. (Ron) Brown of Olean; a step son, Brian A. Walker of Little Valley; 13 grandchildren, Amy Rose, Franklin J., Tayler Rene, Airamis J., Journey C., James H., Brooklyn M., Shyanne A., Steven L., Stacy M., Brian D., Christopher & Ashley A.; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Susan Conklin;
and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to both of his wives, Frank was pre-deceased by two brothers, Grover C. and Frank T. Miller, Jr.; and two sisters, Harriet Mae Borden & Lucy Marie Shoup.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., #646 E. State Street, Olean on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will be held. The Rev. Steven W. Beattie, Pastor of the United Pentecostal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
